Our client, a global bank is seeking a Senior Python Developer to join their team. This is a great opportunity to work with our banking client. This is a core Python Developer role.
Job Title: Senior Python Developer Location: Hybrid 3 days in the office in Jersey City, NJ Pay Range: 65-70/hr W2- Due to client rules, all candidates must be able to work on Experis' W2; we are unable to work with 3rd parties/subcontractors.
Senior Python Developer - This position is integral to designing, developing, and supporting the business and platforms. Collaborating closely with business and partners, you will deliver impactful solutions for the client.
This is a highly technical role focused on building complex architectures and mentoring junior team members. Candidates must have a strong foundation in distributed systems, event-based paradigms, and multithreading.
Key Responsibilities - Lead the design, development, and testing of applications.
- Build complex systems and applications from scratch using Object-Oriented Design patterns.
- Collaborate across teams to identify and resolve technical challenges.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
- Provide mentorship to junior developers and promote technical excellence.
- Report on project status, challenges, and resolutions.
Must-Have Skills - 7+ years of Python experience, including building applications from scratch.
- Expertise with Pub/Sub and Queue Messaging Systems (AMPS preferred).
- Strong database design and development skills (SQL, Oracle, and Table Design).
- Proficient in N-Tier Component-Based Architecture.
- In-depth understanding of Analytical and Object-Oriented Design/Programming.
- Experience with multithreading, asynchronous programming, and event-driven paradigms.
- Background in distributed architectures and system scalability.
Desired Skills - Experience with the Quartz stack (DAG, QzRT, QFS Deal Model).
- Familiarity with financial instruments like IRS, CDS, Repos, Futures, and Options.
- Proficiency in NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB) and JSON design patterns.
- Comfortable working in a lean agile environment.
