About the Role

As a senior product designer at CollegeVine, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the future of our product. You'll work closely with our cross-functional teams to create meaningful experiences that help high school students navigate the college admissions process.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end design process, from research and ideation to prototyping and implementation, ensuring a user-centered approach.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define product goals and requirements.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and validate design decisions.
  • Create high-fidelity designs and prototypes that effectively communicate your vision and enhance the user experience.
  • Iterate on designs based on feedback, data analysis, and usability testing results.
  • Maintain and evolve our design system to ensure consistency and efficiency across our product suite.
  • Mentor junior designers and contribute to the overall growth of the design team.

Requirements

  • You have 4+ years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design process and the impact of your work.
  • You have a deep understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
  • You're proficient in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
  • You have excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present and defend your design decisions.
  • You're passionate about education and making a positive impact on the lives of students.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Knowledge of the college admissions process or the education industry.
