Summary:

The HVAC Install Manager  oversees and coordinates HVAC installations, managing a team of technicians to ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and within budget, while adhering to industry standards and customer satisfaction.

  Essential Job Duties:

  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of HVAC technicians. 
  • Coordinate scheduling, training, and development activities. 
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback. 
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. 
  • Implementing operational policies and procedures.
  • Implementing and overseeing security operations.
  • Ensure installations are performed according to local mechanical codes and company standards. 
  • Conduct thorough checks of all installation aspects to prevent callbacks. 
  • Monitor use of materials and labor. 
  • Work with clients to resolve installation issues. 
  • Motivating and disciplining staff.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and suppliers. 
  • Ensure customer satisfaction. 
  • Address customer inquiries and provide technical support.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Assist with training installation technicians and developing training programs. 
  • Contribute to developing the company's standard operating procedures. 
  • Operate company vehicles as needed. 
  • Build and maintain a high-performing installation department. 
  • Maximize capacity, efficiency, and profitability. 
  • Proficient in installing an HVAC system.
  • Ability to complete simple low voltage connections on furnaces, air handlers and air conditioners
  • Valid drivers' license.
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate ideas related to policies and procedures and provide guidance to management and employees, verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to follow safety standards.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Outstanding leadership, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong people skills.
  • Available to work extended hours.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.

  Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2 or more years of HVAC install experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications (not required):

  • Any air conditioning certifications.

  Physical Demands:

  • Ability to operate tablet, mobile phone and other field equipment as needed
  • Ability to read, write, speak, hear, see, think, communicate, concentrate, learn, and work
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 70lbs repeatedly during work hours
  • Ability to climb up and down ladders and/or step stools repeatedly during work hours
  • Ability to sit/stand for long periods of time during work hours
  • Ability to work in small and confined dark spaces such as crawl spaces, attics, etc.
  • Ability to work in a wide range of temperatures (indoor/outdoor)
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time between job sites and customer locations
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
