Carolinas Staffing is looking for CNC Operators in Leland, NC!

Job Summary:
As a Machine Operator you will run repeat proven parts with low to intermediate complexity. You will receive direction and will be overseen by the area Lead, Supervisor, or qualified area Machinist.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Responsible for utilizing shop paper procedures including updates, signatures, and stamps, counting quantities, labeling, and non-conformance-related activities.
• Ensure an accurate router accompanies all work orders.
• Inspect and measure parts as needed, and complete in-process inspections. For any discrepancies notify supervision.
• Assist the Lead person as needed.
• Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining. Alert Lead or Supervisor to any issue(s) on the job or machine.
• Cleans and maintains machines, working area, tooling, and parts in optimal production condition.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
• Visual acuity: near acuity and accommodation are required for reading machine dial gauges, blueprints, and precision measuring instruments used in the inspection of parts.
• Hearing ability: the ability to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose changes in order to take appropriate action.
• Frequently required to stand, walk, push, reach overhead, and bend to the floor.
• Frequently required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• High noise levels from operating machines.
• Physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts.

Safety:

• Comply with applicable environmental, health, and safety laws and regulations, company policy, and accepted safe work practices.
• Knowledge of Shop safety practices and use of PPE.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 Per Hour depending on experience.

Hours/Shifts:
Day Shift: 6am to 2:30pm
Swing Shift: 3pm to 11:30pm or 3:30pm to 12am
Might have to work on Saturdays depending on the needs of the business.
